I would like to welcome you to the official website of Pat West for Meade County Sheriff. Thank you for researching my experience and qualifications for this very important position.
During the next few months, I will highlight my vision for the Meade County Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff plays an important role in public safety, managing the Meade County Jail and providing Emergency Dispatch Services to the residents of Meade County. I am committed to protecting the lives, property and rights of all people, to maintain order and to enforce the law. I will strive to accomplish this mission by setting goals and objectives and practicing the core values of the Office.
It is my mission to improve and maintain the quality of life we enjoy and to ensure that Meade County is a safe place to live, work and visit. I will plan careful management of our financial resources, which demonstrates my respect for the citizens. I will implement sound fiscal responsibility that ensures accountability to the public and focuses resources for efficiently achieving the goals of the Meade County Sheriff’s Office. When I’m elected, the residents of Meade County will get familiar with the faces of the Sheriff’s Office, because the Sheriff can’t do it alone. The employees of the Sheriff’s office will be encouraged to get involved, seek out and participate in training opportunities, be innovative, speak up, and make a difference in their work place and in their communities. I will make the Sheriff’s Office more accessible, responsive, inclusive, open and more visible and active throughout the entire county.  I will not turn down relevant technology or grant opportunities when offered and will be diligent about making the overall operations of the Sheriff’s Office more efficient and effective for both the employees and the public.

You can be assured that when I am elected Sheriff, I will improve public safety, solidify relationships with the public and practice fiscal responsibility for the citizens of Meade County.
